... Winter Storm Watch now in effect from late tonight through
Tuesday evening...

* snow accumulations... 10 to 20 inches.

* Ice accumulations... a quarter of an inch or more is possible
in the passes below 5000 feet.

* Some affected locations... Snoqualmie Pass and Stevens Pass.

* Timing... snow will develop on Tuesday then become heavy at
times. Periods of snow... locally heavy... will persist at
elevations above 4000 feet on Tuesday. Snoqualmie Pass can
expect the snow to change over to freezing rain Tuesday
morning... resulting in the possibility of significant ice
accumulations.

* Snow level... at or near the surface in the passes or those areas
prone to cold east winds early Tuesday... rising to 5500 to 6500
Tuesday afternoon.

* Main impact... hazardous winter driving conditions are
anticipated to develop early Tuesday morning... with conditions
possibly becoming treacherous in Snoqualmie Pass Tuesday
morning due to ice.
