Watches & Warnings

Special Statement
Issued: 3:20 PM CST Dec. 4, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Snow and wind potential Monday afternoon into Tuesday...

Another weather system will impact parts of the area Monday
afternoon into Tuesday. How much it impacts the area is still
uncertain. Model data remains quite variable in the amount and
exact placement of the snow with this system. The favored
location for the most snow looks to be along the Canadian border
from Langdon to Cavalier to Roseau and Warroad. Less snow would
fall southward toward the Highway 2 corridor. Most of this snow
now looks to fall before the gusty west northwest winds arrive
late Monday night into Tuesday. Once these stronger winds do
arrive, blowing and drifting snow are possible in areas that
received snow. Much colder air is expected by late Monday night
into Tuesday, bringing subzero wind chills.

The National Weather Service will continue to monitor the snow and
wind threat from this system. Stay tuned for further updates.
