Begs the viewer pause and consider how anything so charring could be deemed "restoration" of "habitat." Thank you for sharing this heartbreaking photo; it must be difficult to look upon such waste.

Certainly tells a gut-wrenching story. Your area of California is so beautiful normally. It makes me very sad to see this kind of destruction. My heart goes out to all the folks and critters across our country who have suffered these fires this year.

Thank you Charlotte and mcleodglen (Glen?). We are still in the low 90s for daytime highs so we aren't out of danger yet. Fortunately, response is exceptional here. Most fires are only a few acres

noneinc I Initially said I don't comment much but I found myself commenting a lot. I was never happy with just saying "Nice shot" "Very nice" "Great shot" etc so I decided to leave the comments to the pros. You all say it so much better.
