I had hoped to see the sun one last time today but the stormy weather that moved in last night provided to much cloud cover to see the sun low on the horizon. The sun was only up for about 37 minutes and didn’t get much above the horizon, and now it is gone till next year, 57 days to be exact. I did get a few pictures of the pinkish sky around 1 PM and some of the snow drifts that have been building up during the day. The wind has been out of the NNE since early yesterday and has been pretty steady at 20-25 knots with peak gusts up to 33 knots (37mph).
I’m hoping that December will have more clear skies so we can have nice star watching nights and watch the Aurora dancing overhead. Some nights the skies are so clear that there are so many stars shining in the heavens that it is hard to pick out some of the constellations.
Signing off for now
Jim
