23 Maya   So. Today. now. It's happening now    The temperature actually increased overnite starting at 1.10am and non-coincidentally, so did the east winds.  As wind velocity rose so did the temp and vice-versa. Also today starts the warming trend. The ever-elusive 90-degree-Mark will finally be achieved and will run the extra mile toward its goal.
SURPASSING THE NINETIES (by at least 2 or 3 degrees)
And we will be watching at the finish line with tears in our eyes

Important Announcement!

At 12.50pm the temp finally reached 90 degrees and with the hot winds from the south coupled with the intense sunlight sans clouds, 93° was reached 2 hours later and remains the same at 5pm. An incredible event is was to overcome the 10-day 89°
former peak and move closer to the summit  way  up high!  Finally, the record breaking as of late temperature stayed at 90 or above until 6.30. We are 13° warmer at 10.20pm than yesterday eve so tonight keep the windows closed, use a fan, or set the  air on low instead of listening to the crickets.  source:  mesonet.org

As She stirs the clouds new storms are born

open the windows after 10pm
listen to the crickets chirping.

And pray those who would disturb the peace will suffer the consequences of their actions.

Maggie's Farm

I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more.
No, I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more.
Well, I wake in the morning,
Fold my hands and pray for rain.

I got a head full of ideas
That are drivin' me insane.
It's a shame the way she makes me scrub the floor.
I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more.

I ain't gonna work for Maggie's brother no more.
No, I ain't gonna work for Maggie's brother no more.
Well, he hands you a nickel,
He hands you a dime,
He asks you with a grin
If you're havin' a good time,
Then he fines you every time you slam the door.
I ain't gonna work for Maggie's brother no more.

I ain't gonna work for Maggie's pa no more.
No, I ain't gonna work for Maggie's pa no more.
Well, he puts his cigar
Out in your face just for kicks.
His bedroom window
It is made out of bricks.
The National Guard stands around his door.
Ah, I ain't gonna work for Maggie's pa no more.

I ain't gonna work for Maggie's ma no more.
No, I ain't gonna work for Maggie's ma no more.
Well, she talks to all the servants
About man and God and law.
Everybody says
She's the brains behind pa.
She's sixty-eight, but she says she's twenty-four.
I ain't gonna work for Maggie's ma no more.

I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more.
No, I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more.
Well, I try my best
To be just like I am,
But everybody wants you
To be just like them.
They sing while you slave and I just get bored.
I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more.

When you're hot you're hot; when you're not you're not !

The NWS was right about the lowvernite temp... and when this happens at the NWS Office, on Hollywood Blvd. - they're all actors - in Shreveport, they flip a gold coin from the Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City just 8 miles away. There was a different casino offshore in Miss. one of the seenful(sinful) businesses plowed onshore into evangelical la-la land by Katrina, the Goddess of Destruction.
I won't reveal what images are on that coin, but don'tcha kinda wonder how they come up with their rain forecasts and chances of rain?
That's right!!  With that very same coin!! LOL

ultraviolet index
VERY HIGH

A UV Index reading of 8 to 10 means very high risk of harm from unprotected sun exposure. Minimize sun exposure during midday hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Protect yourself by liberally applying a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. Wear protective clothing and sunglasses to protect the eyes. Take extra precautions. Unprotected skin will be damaged and can burn quickly. Minimize sun exposure between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Otherwise, seek shade, cover up, wear a hat and sunglasses, and use sunscreen.  Be careful during routine outdoor activities such as gardening or playing sports. Remember that UV exposure is especially strong if you are working or playing between the peak hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Don't forget that spectators, as well as participants, need to wear sunscreen and eye protection to avoid too much sun.

I'll pretend one wall is the past and one is the future
And I just stand here like the present looking for a good place to run

Soon

Soon, oh soon the light,
Pass within and soothe this endless night
And wait here for you,
Our reason to be here.

Soon, oh soon the time,
All we move to gain will reach and calm;
Our hearts are open,
Our reason to be here.

Long ago, set into rhyme.
Soon, oh soon the light,
Ours to shape for all time,
Ours the right;
The sun will lead us,
Our reason to be here.

Soon, oh soon the light,
Ours to shape for all time,
Ours the right;
The sun will lead us,
Our reason to be here.
