A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EST this
* Areas affected: include Ashland... Mechanicsville... Bowling
Green and surrounding areas.
* Accumulations: around one tenth of an inch of ice is
expected... with up to two tenths possible across western
portions of Hanover and Caroline County. Up to one inch of
snow or sleet will also be possible.
* Timing: areas of freezing rain will continue early this
afternoon... before changing over to rain by mid to late
* Temperatures: 29 to 33 degrees.
* Impacts: travel conditions could become hazardous Sunday
morning into and Sunday evening due to icy conditions on
roadways and sidewalks.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of sleet and
freezing rain will cause some travel difficulties. Be prepared
for slippery roads and use caution while driving.

... Freezing rain into early afternoon...
Periods of sleet and freezing rain will continue across the area
into early this afternoon. While there will be occasional breaks
in the precipitation... locations along and west of a line from
Tappahannock to west Richmond... Amelia and Crewe will continue to
see occasional ice accumulations. Freezing rain will gradually
change to rain from east to west through the early afternoon
Only locations along and west of a line from Montpelier to
Goochland... Powhatan... Amelia and Farmville are expected to remain
below freezing through late this afternoon and evening. This
includes Louisa... Fluvanna and Cumberland. Freezing rain
accumulations in these areas could reach a quarter of an inch.
Elsewhere freezing rain accumulations of a tenth of an inch or
less are expected.
