... A wintry mix of precipitation expected tonight through
Thursday night...
A low pressure system will affect North Texas tonight through
Thursday night and bring a mix of rain and light snow. This storm
system will move slower than previously depicted by the computer
models which will allow a better return of low level moisture and
slightly warmer temperatures. Therefore... most of the
precipitation will occur when temperatures are above freezing and
travel impacts tonight and Thursday should be minimal.
Temperatures will fall below freezing Thursday night through
Friday morning and some slick spots may develop on area
roads... especially bridges and overpasses.
Accumulations of wet snow will be generally less than 1 inch.
However... up to one inch of snow may accumulate in some locations
north of a Comanche to Athens line... especially on grassy and
elevated surfaces.
North Texas residents and motorists traveling across the region
on Thursday should stay informed of the latest weather information
