The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... east central Hampshire County in western Massachusetts... southeastern Franklin County in western Massachusetts... west central Worcester County in central Massachusetts...

* until 300 PM EDT

* at 155 PM EDT...Doppler radar indicated torrential rain that will cause minor Urban and Small Stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain has already fallen in parts of Pelham... Leverett and Amherst.

* Some locations that will experience minor flooding include Amherst...South Hadley...Belchertown...Ware...Montague...Granby... Hadley...Sunderland...Hardwick...Leverett...Shutesbury...Pelham... Petersham...New Salem and Wendell.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Advisory is issued for minor Urban and Small Stream flooding. Do not drive through flooded roads.
