... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST this
afternoon...
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST this
afternoon.
* Accumulations... an inch or less of additional snowfall is
expected. Final storm total snowfall accumulations will
generally range from 4 to 6 inches.
* Timing... snow will continue through the morning hours before
ending from west to east in the afternoon.
* Impacts... roads will remain slick. Strong winds will create
blowing and drifting snow this morning... with near whiteout
conditions possible at times in rural areas.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Conditions are forecast
that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If
you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food... and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
