Statement as of 10:27 PM EST die 09o January, anno 2009 ... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM EST Saturday... A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 PM EST Saturday. Snow will continue to redevelop later tonight and continue over the region through Saturday morning before tapering off Saturday afternoon. Total snow accumulation of 4 to 9 inches is expected with this storm with the greatest amounts located north of Route 24. A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. |
